課程概述

The installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms depend on the maritime engineering which costs over 50% of total cost. It is different from onshore wind farms. Therefore, maritime engineering plays an important role in developing offshore wind farms. The docks and the vessels for assembly, installation and maintenance are developing in Taiwan. The localization of equipment manufacturing is also the goal of the government. The course will focus on the introduction of the maritime engineering for offshore wind. 

課程目標
Maritime engineering of offshore wind power introduces theories and applications of different processes of maritime engineering for offshore wind power, including site investigation, installation, O&M…etc. The field visits are also necessary for better understanding the course with practical applications.
